Wise Owl Room 3-5 Years

The Wise owl room has been carefully designed and planned to make it easily accessible to our 3 to 5 year olds.

Children will get a chance to play with sand, water, small world, mark making, craft, role play, construction and mathematical resources to prepare them for school life.

At Wise Owl we take the “Curiosity Approach” which means we learn and explore using real life objects and natural materials.  You won’t find much plastic in our nurseries!

The room is extremely organised, with everything in its place so that the children can manage their own environment. Children will be encouraged to participate in all elements of nursery life including preparation and clean up.

As in the rest of the nursery, we have a huge emphasis on outdoor play with this age group too.  We operate a full free flow policy and children can choose whether they would like to spend their time indoors or outdoors.  All 7 areas of learning are catered for outdoors and we like to see the weather as a reason to go outside rather than an excuse to stay inside.

Throughout the child’s time in the Wise Owl room, they will be prepared for school by developing skills such as building relationships with peers, managing their own self-care, and developing their confidence to communicate.
