Toni – Nursery Owner
Toni is the owner of Wise Owl Nursery and started the nursery in 2005. Toni is an experienced teacher holding full QTS and has a passion for teaching and learning. In her spare time, Toni likes to get outdoors with the family Ben, Leo and Joel, and their two dogs Ziggy and Mila. She also plays a few musical instruments including the piano, guitar and saxophone.
Georgia – Nursery Manager
Georgia is qualified to Level 3 and has a wealth of nursery management experience in both independent nurseries and large nursery chains nationwide. Georgia’s skills lie heavily in early years education and staff training and development. We operate an open door policy and if you ever need any help with anything, please do not hesitate to pop and see Georgia. Outside of work, Georgia loves to spend time with her partner and their family including two bouncy baby cockapoo puppies.
Elly – Deputy Manager
Elly’s role at Wise Owl is very important. Elly is in charge of making sure that all of our children are well educated. Qualified to Level 3, she works between the rooms, and focuses on planning, activities, children’s next steps, resources, and the environment. Another major part of Elly’s role is helping staff to be the very best educators they can be, and keeping up to date with all the latest news and research. In her spare time, Elly like to ghost hunt and she is also a keen body builder! Who knew?!
Jo – Room Leader
Jo is a fully qualified Level 3 with 20 years experience and runs our Owlets Baby Room alongside Gem. It is Jo’s role to pass on her vast knowledge and experience to the newer members of the team with her wisdom and skills. Jo will help other team members across the whole nursery to do observations, two year checks, assist them with their teaching and learning, help them to create amazing and engaging activities for the children, and generally be a huge support to staff.
Mags – Room Leader
Qualified to Level 6, Mags is very talented! You will find Mags in the Snowy Owl Toddler Room. Mags is bilingual speaking fluent English and Fluent Polish and she is responsible for ensuring diversity is key throughout the nursery. At Wise Owl we love to celebrate diversity so if you have any skills or knowledge you can bring to the nursery, please let Mags know – we would love to incorporate it.
Zoe – Nursery Nurse
Zoe is a Level 6 practitioner and has huge experience in Special Educational Needs. You will find Zoe in the pre-school room where she particularly loves messy play with the children.
Rebecca – Nursery Nurse
Rebecca works with the tots in our Snowy Owl room. Having completed her Level 3 in Early Years around a year ago, we can already see how wonderful she is. Rebecca is shadowing her Deputy Manager Elly and learning from our Room Leaders Jo and Maggie. Outside work, Rebecca is very adventurous and enjoys kayaking and snowboarding!
Josh – Nursery Nurse
Josh is one of the newest members of our team and we think it is just fantastic for the children to have a male practitioner in the nursery. Level 3 qualified, Josh always has a smile on his face and he mostly works in the tots room with Maggie.
Sarah-Jayne – Nursery Assistant
Sarah-Jayne joined Wise Owl having much experience working with children with special needs. It has always been Sarah’s ambition to work in a nursery and after having her two children, the time is right for her. Sarah is on an apprenticeship scheme with us to gain her Level 3 in Childcare. You will find Sarah in the pre-school room where Toke is teaching her everything he knows!
Molly – Nursery Assistant
Molly is passionate about childcare and has been for a very long time. She is the youngest member of our team but her commitment to her career is clear as she even did a Level 1 in Child-care at school along with Health and Socal Care. Molly is enrolled on a Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship with us and is doing amazingly well. You will find Molly in the baby room working alongside Jo and Elly.
